Caylie Merritt is a Tennessee born and raised photographer. She grew up in the small town of Maryville, TN, and moved to Chattanooga in 2020 to pursue her education. She graduated in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Media Art from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Merritt enjoys traditional photography, as well as curating installations with old film photos, mementos and collections, and anything related to her family and its legacies. Merritt’s work has been shown in a student-organized exhibition, BUSHEL AND A PECK, and was featured in the 2025 BFA Senior Thesis show at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Chattanooga. After graduation, Merritt continues her photography career in Knoxville, TN, and around the world.
